Staying stylish during the winter can sometimes feel like an impossible task. It can be hard to get the right balance between looking good and keeping your toes warm. Jessica Wang

'You can’t get much more statement in the winter than over the knee boots. They are going strong season after season and the reason why is simple. This staple piece is easy to pair with everything and will make any simple outfit stylish. From suede, leather to velvet, basic colors to something bold, the options are endless.'

Brooke Burnett

'I'm all about comfort so the perfect winter look for me must include a comfy sweater and great coat! My obsession with burgundy continues this winter, especially with this coat. These fur lined boots also take this casual winter outfit to a ‘winter chic’ look that's perfect for a mountain vacation!'

Lauren Johnson

'In the winter outfits tend to hide under bulky coats. So to dress up my outermost layer I always try to throw on a fun piece like this burgundy faux fur stole. I also gravitate towards tonal dressing in the winter. This gray denim sweater combo is something I opt for a lot, particularly topped with a long camel coat (a winter wardrobe staple). Snow also means lots of glare so sunglasses in the winter are a must. I am currently obsessed with Retrosuperfuture’s sunglasses – they have so many good styles!'

Christie Ferrari

'This is my favorite winter look because it’s chic and versatile, but keeps you warm too! I also love adding pops of color to my outfits in the winter to add some extra excitement. A red bag or accessory like this is the perfect example.'

Erika Fox

'My style is very minimalistic but during the winter, I love to add in a tiny pop of color through faux fur accessories. I also love mixing textures - leather, knit, faux fur. It’s such a fun time for fashion!'

Cassandra Dimicco

'My go-to winter look always consists of over the knee boots. This season I haven't stopped wearing my favorite shoe silhouette in burgundy velvet. Can you say swoon! I paired them with a shaggy black and white sweater to create the ultimate boho luxe look. I know everyone has ‘Gucci fever’ this year so no look is complete without a classic Gucci wallet or a chain purse.'

Loreana von Plocki

'Who said winter fashion needs to be boring? When I think winter, I think more than just dark tones. Just because it is dark and gray outside doesn’t mean your outfit needs to be too! On the contrary, I think winter gives you more flexibility to play with textures, layers and color. This is why big, furry, colorful coats are a must this season. For this winter look, I paired this awesome and fun faux fur coat with some relaxed ripped jeans, a graphic tee and a pair of classic white sneakers.'

Mary Gui

'For the ultimate winter look, I chose my favorite McQ Alexander McQueen oversized statement coat. A chic coat is always the most important piece for me during the winter months. To stay warm and cozy, I paired the coat with a vintage turtleneck one-piece. My style is all about mixing vintage and modern, so this is the perfect combination. Matching the pink lining details on the coat, I went with a pair of pink velvet boots and finished the look with the classic Chloe Drew bag.'

Tayler Malott

'Winter is my favorite season because I love that you can easily look chic by layering pieces. That is why this number is my ultimate winter look.  By taking a white sweater dress, and throwing a grey turtleneck over it, it creates a beautiful, warm, and cozy look. I love pairing it with over the knee boots to add just the right amount of sassiness. From Christmas shopping, to holiday parties, I’ll be wearing this all season long.'

Holly Pan

'This winter, I am embracing the glam grunge trend and making over-the-top designs and rocker accessories my go-to pieces. An ultimate outfit embodying the trends for me would be like the one pictured. A velvet dress, ruffled silk blouse, metallic bag or shoes and a military coat. The look is glamorous, handsome, youthful and practical. While the dress and blouse combo can be worn for special occasions and holiday parties, with the officer's coat, the whole look is tame enough for brunch, shopping and kids birthday parties. Because black and gold are staple colors, individual piece of this look can also be styled with other designs to deliver more cold-weather looks.'

'This winter I am all about an oversized cozy knit, a classic pair of dark skinny jeans and a really great coat. Dark denim never goes out of style and a simple roll at the hem gives it a more modern look. Investing in a fab coat is a must and I love that this one will keep me warm, but has personality. With all fashion, but especially in the winter, I like to keep my style simple, but always with a touch of fun.'

Lindsey Lutz

'Winter tends to start a little later for us here in the south. While everyone is rocking their sweaters and scarves, we are impatiently fighting 80 degree temperatures to bust out our favourite falls looks. This look reveals my style perfectly: bold, textured, detailed, edgy, and modern. I absolutely love mixing textures to create interest. Try pairing shiny metallic with cozy wool for your next holiday party, New Year’s Eve event, or even a hot date night! As the temps drop, throw on a long wool or even a patent leather (gasp!) coat.'

Jenny Tsang

'Leather is definitely my go to winter essential because it’s so versatile and ‘seasonless’. I’d say the key reason to invest in luxe leather pieces is because it’ll go a long way. Five years later you’ll be wearing the same leather jacket that might even look better since the first day you purchased it; it’ll only get better with age. This year I’m focusing on the edgy leather moto style paired with satin. It’s soft, it’s shiny and when paired with the leather moto style it gives your outfit a great contrast. It’ll create an edgier and more casual look whilst maintaining a feminine style.'

Ashley Zeal

'My favorite winter outfit this season definitely includes a coat with a fur accent. I love how versatile this outerwear piece is. You can dress it down as I did here – pairing it with all black and my classic Givenchy bag, or you can dress it up with a cocktail dress and heels. I love anything that can be worn multiple ways, and this works for work or play, day or night, as a gift or for yourself! This classic silhouette will never go out of style and is flattering on every body type. Staying warm has never looked so good!'

Maggie Krol

'Staying trendy isn’t always easy when it’s freezing outside. Especially when all you can think about is hot chocolate and tons of layers! So to prep for the snow I always opt for my favorite basics: jeans, boots and a signature coat. This look in particular was inspired by New York City. The black on black is edgy and fits right in with the street style of the fast paced city. My favorite part of this look is the contrasting patent finish biker coat. I love the detailed sleeves and the press-studs on the collar. Total rocker chick effect! To top it all off I threw a beanie on it because if you’re a girl on the go (like me) you’ll need it for the frosty temperatures.'

Julia Comil

'My style is feminine, effortlessly chic and a bit edgy so I love wearing black in winter (it’s the French inside me). Inspired by designers like Iro and Barbara Bui I also like to add details to my outfits with fringes, drapes or laces. This season, although we don’t have much of a winter in California, I am obsessed with velvet, and especially green velvet: it is subtle and goes perfectly with black.'

Aubrey Ballard

'In the winter months, I tend to opt for versatile and stylish pieces to help me stay warm in the cold Oklahoma weather. These coated Citizens of Humanity rocket’ high-rise skinny jeans are a go-to of mine. They are perfect for dressing up or down and can easily be paired with a chunky sweater and boots, like I've done here. Alternatively, dress them up with a camisole and a good pair of heels.'

Stefanie Schoen

‘Here in San Francisco it doesn’t get too chilly, so for my favorite winter look I gravitate towards a comfortable statement coat in a rich texture. This Isabel Marant Etoile coat can be layered with different pieces three seasons of the year. Paired with my leather pants and walkable boots there isn’t a winter event I’m not ready for!’

Nicole Franco

'Living in Phoenix means winter is virtually non-existent here. Yes it does get cold in the mornings and nights but it often warms up during the day which means the beloved winter layers come off. My ideal winter look is something simple and easily transitional from the 7am chill to the 2pm heatwave. A simple turtleneck, jeans, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman knee high boots make for a perfect everyday winter look. Throw on a thin oversized coat to stay warm and you can still enjoy the winter vibes of the season.'

Nicole Burron

'The ultimate winter look for me means: Holiday Parties. I wanted to focus on a main piece that wasn't the routine cocktail dress. Velvet is the hottest trend right now and this two piece set is both sophisticated and sensual. I chose vibrant accessories to keep the black from looking flat. The jewel tone stole and leopard print clutch instantly create dimension. To incorporation a little holiday sparkle I opted for rhinestone moon and star earrings with gold heels. This look embodies what I love most about winter, festive fun.'

Alyson Alconis

'The winter season is all about holiday parties for me, so I like to have my wardrobe packed full of pieces that are versatile and party-ready.  Just like my makeup, I have to make sure my outfit not only looks good, but feels comfortable as well.  Skinny jeans, a blazer, and statement heels are my go-to pieces for events, and with a few fun details like a leopard print or feather hem, it elevates my holiday party outfit even more.'
