Issey Miyake for Women
Issey Miyake recognized clothing as an optimistic and creative outlet. Building his 1970 design studio around whimsical color and traditional handicraft, it was the perfect blend of textile engineering that defined the brand’s contemporary closet. Sculptural dresses fall in line with the Pleats Please collection, first debuted in the ‘90s. Plissé-effect tops and pleated pants are an everyday uniform to which Artistic Director Satoshi Kondo upholds Miyake’s legacy.
