From style-savvy fashion capitals to quaint but cool towns off the beaten track – you can definitely say our boutique partners carve quite the well-travelled sartorial portfolio. Looking to scope out a fashion hub somewhere a little further afield? From Singapore to Saudi Arabia, we’ll take you on a trip to the coolest destination boutiques…

Le Gray, Saudi Arabia

At home on Riyadh’s bustling Tahlia Street, Le Gray is the forerunner in bringing contemporary menswear to Saudi Arabia. Its dark, sleek and contemporary feel offers a fresh style offering. We find out about bringing cool, avant-garde brands to Riyadh from the boutique’s owner Muteb Alsubaie.

What’s the story behind Le Gray?
‘In 2009, I would travel from Saudi to London to shop for [contemporary] brands and wanted to make them accessible back home. Le Gray has come to be a pioneer for contemporary fashion in Saudi Arabia.’

‘Contemporary, grey and zen.’

What criteria does a brand have to meet for you to buy them for your store?
‘For Le Gray, we want the best brands in street and contemporary [fashion] that are contributing to the trends of today whilst maintaining their brand DNA and [a high] level of quality.’

On a quiet road in a spacious antiqued building, is One Fifteen: a cutting-edge greenhouse carrying the creative works of new and young designers alike. This spirited space has become the benchmark for luxury fashion in Taipei – and a tranquil haven to enjoy fresh Mediterranean cuisine, too. We had the store’s Perry Kuo share all about city’s cool East-meets-West fusion, and the new-season pieces to invest in.

‘Vital, artistic and timeless.’

What's everyone wearing in Taipei?

The pieces we should be investing in for AW17?
‘An asymmetric skirt from J.W. Anderson, a [colourful] Delpozo sweater and some tailored trousers from Kolor are all [essential] for the new season.’

Once found only in the heart of Singapore’s liveliest shopping district – this illustrious multi-brand boutique now also has stores scattered across Malaysia and Thailand. All of Club 21’s expertly curated concept spaces are a hybrid of premium brands and cutting-edge fledging labels. We chat to the boutique’s Victor Michel about their pioneering vision.

What criteria does a brand have to meet for you to buy them for your store?
‘Every brand that we pick up must have a point of view and it must be authentic in its value and proposition. At the end of the day, we always buy with the belief and conviction that we know what our customers want even before they knew these brands existed.’
