WORDS BY AMELIA BELL

For sneaker fans, there’s no thrill quite like the news of an exclusive release and our latest drop won’t disappoint. From Nike’s self-lacing sneakers to the inaugural adidas x Yeezy 750 boost OG’s, we’ve just got hold of some of the rarest trainers ever made. Stay calm…

Nike x Off-White The 10: Air Presto

When Nike teamed up with streetwear king Virgil Abloh to release ‘The Ten’ - a limited collection of re-imagined archival classics - it was always going to be big. "These ten shoes have broken barriers in performance and style,’’ says the Off-White designer. ‘’To me, they are on the same level as a sculpture of David or the Mona Lisa.’’ The resulting works of art feature exposed foam, stitched on ‘Swooshes’ and the signature red zip tie.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Kaws

Ironically, when artist KAWS (aka Brian Donnelly) was commissioned by Jordan to create a new sneaker canvas, he had intended them to be low-key and functional. An unlikely thought considering that these iconic, impossible-to-find sneakers are anything but understated. The details that solidify their cult status? KAWS etched hand graphics, a glow in the dark sole and the epic shoe box - almost as impressive as the shoe itself.

Nike HyperAdapt 1.0

From the Back to the Future Nike Mags to The HyperAdapt 1.0’s, Nike’s breakthrough leap in self-lacing innovation will go down in sneaker history. How does it all work? "Adaptive lacing" technology is activated by a heel sensor that automatically tightens the laces and adjusts to the contours of your foot - the footwear of the future has arrived.

adidas PW Human Race NMD

Beyond the surface of Pharrell William’s eye-catching design for adidas lies an important message. Working with the MHA Nation in North Dakota, the rapper-producer’s 5-piece shoe collection, ‘Hu’, explores humanity in a bid to celebrate diversity around the world.

adidas x Yeezy 750 boost OG

The adidas x Yeezy 750 boost OG was the first design of Kanye West’s long-standing partnership with German sportswear behemoth, adidas. The rapper/designer was spotted wearing said sneakers at the Grammy’s back in 2015, just before they were released over NBA All-Star Weekend in New York. And so it all began…

adidas x Yeezy Boost 350 Turtle Dove

The second, but no less explosive release of the adidas x Yeezy collab, sent shockwaves through the sneaker world. What makes the adidas x Yeezy Boost 350 Turtle Dove so special? The easy slip-on style, low-top shape and sock-like feel are - according to many a highbrow sneaker fan - the epitome of design perfection.
