What is PSD2?

PSD2 is a new European law introduced to make online payments more secure. When you place an order online using a card payment, your bank may ask you to confirm your identity through 3D Secure authentication.

What are the payment steps when I place an order?

When you place an order within Europe, you may be directed to a 3D Secure authentication by your bank. There are many ways to authenticate online payments and you could be asked to confirm your identity through SMS, email, or TouchID. Once your payment is authenticated and the order has been placed, you’ll return to the FARFETCH confirmation page. As soon as your order has been confirmed, you’ll receive an email.

How will my bank confirm my identity?

Get in contact with your bank to understand their 3D Secure authentication process. Make sure they have the correct contact details for you just in case they use SMS or email for authentication.

If I'm unable to place an order, what should I do?

If something didn't go quite right, contact our friendly Customer Service team to place an order over the phone.

WHY IS FARFETCH PRICING SPECIAL?

At Farfetch, you are shopping pieces from our luxury brands and partners around the globe, expertly curated for you by our team. Prices are determined by each Farfetch partner, therefore the price of the same item may vary depending on your location and where you order an item from.

Please note: Placing an item in your shopping bag or Wishlist does not reserve it at a particular price.

WHICH CURRENCIES CAN I SHOP IN?

The currency that you shop with is determined by your shipping destination and will be displayed at checkout before completing your purchase. If your local currency is unavailable, your order will be charged in USD for a competitive exchange rate.

WHEN WILL MY CARD BE CHARGED?

If you pay by debit card or PayPal, Farfetch will take payment at the point your order is placed on our site. If you pay by credit card, full payment is usually taken once your order is ready for shipping, though your bank or card issuer may reserve the order amount in your account immediately.

We only accept installments as payment in Brazil.

How does Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments work and what are my payment options?

Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments is a form of credit which allows you to spread the cost of your purchase over 3 equal payments. The payment for each instalment will automatically be collected from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. Your first instalment will be collected when your order is confirmed by FARFETCH and instalments 2 and 3 are scheduled 30 and 60 days later. You can always monitor your payments’ schedule in the Klarna app.

Am I eligible for Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments?

To use Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments you must be at least 18. Whilst this option is widely promoted, Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments is subject to your financial circumstances. When choosing Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments, our assessment will not affect your credit rating.

A maximum spend of £1500 applies to every order and you’ll only be able to use Klarna Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments if you have a United Kingdom shipping and billing address.

What happens if I cancel or return my order?

As soon as FARFETCH have accepted your cancellation or return, Klarna will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts due. The return will be rejected in the Klarna app immediately and your refund will be processed within 57 business days.

What happens if I don’t pay for my order?

Klarna will automatically attempt to collect your payment from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. If Klarna is unable to collect your payment on the scheduled due date, Klarna will make one further attempt to automatically collect payment two days later. Should this last payment attempt fail, Klarna will issue you a statement for the full outstanding order amount which will become payable 15 days later. Klarna will notify you when a payment is due two days in advance of attempting to collect your payment.

You will not be charged fees or interest for late and missed repayment(s). Your credit score will not be impacted by using Klarna’s ‘Pay later in 3 instalments’ product even if you have failed to pay on time. If you fail to make a payment you will be in default, and may be unable to use the service in the future. Klarna may continue to attempt to collect overdue and currently due payments on following due dates, or invoice you separately for the unpaid total. If you do not pay for your purchase, Klarna may engage with an external debt collection agency to collect on our behalf. Debt collection agencies are used as a last resort.
