Over the Knee Boots Looks to Love

We asked some of our favourite fashion influencers and bloggers to style up their favourite pair of over the knee boots. Whether you’re already obsessed with the thigh high style or are looking to buy your first pair for the coming winter this is the place to be inspired. These style innovators explain why they picked the boots they did and show you how they’ll be wearing them throughout the autumn winter season ahead.

‘These boots are incredibly chic and the low heel means that I can be on the go for the entire day and not even blink about the heel height. Also the suede material makes them as soft as butter to wear. They are made beautifully and stay up over the knee, which is a big thing to consider when investing in over the knee boots.’

I have been a huge fan of Dorateymur since the brand began. I love their classic mod style shaped toes on their shoes. These are such timeless boots and the low heel makes these incredibly versatile to wear with jeans or a dress.’

I softened the over the knee look with a mod-style leather coat in burgundy, a simple white t-shirt and skirt. I ensured that the coat just touched the knee whilst the skirt was much shorter, giving the look lots of layers.

Perfect for meetings and then running to dinner or drinks. I LOVE these boots and will be wearing them all autumn!!’

‘Over the knee boots are always a key trend for autumn/winter and for AW17 it seems there are more variations, styles and options than ever! I chose this Toga Pulla pair because they are really unique and will stand out in a sea of over the knee boots! I love that they are cut to stop much higher up the thigh than most other styles, both for aesthetic reasons and because I know they will keep me warmer than anything else; I’m already thinking ahead to New York Fashion Week next February!’

‘Japanese footwear brand, Toga Pulla may have been around for a decade but it’s definitely having a major moment right now. I love the distinctive hardware on their boots and the effortlessly cool, tomboy twist they give any outfit.’

‘Styling these boots took a bit of thought as I wanted to retain their rebellious, androgynous attitude with the rest of my outfit but also incorporate an element of femininity. So naturally the only way to go was a statement red leopard print mini skirt! I love how the boots carry on about the hemline; it makes the whole look more unusual and edgy’

‘These boots are the perfect addition to my or anyone’s wardrobe - black, simple and I can wear them every day because of the minimal and classic design. They have a short heel so are perfect for a Sunday afternoon at a museum or a night out with the girls.’

‘I already own three pairs of Stuart Weitzman shoes and you never get disappointed by either quality or design. The current collection is full of suede leather pieces which I really love, especially in combination with some cute 70s dresses and you can see them on every runway. All collections are very wearable and perfect for every day.’

‘As always I kept it minimal and simple. I love the combination of a soft and cosy oversized sweater together with boots. Especially for colder summer days. The bag and especially the nerd glasses make the look more interesting and less basic.’

‘One of my favourite kind of boots to wear during the fall season are thigh high boots. I love these ones. The leather is super soft, simple and classic - yet the studs add a little bit of edge - and best of all – they’re incredibly comfortable. When it comes to investing into boots, comfortable and classic choices are the best.’

‘This is my first piece from the brand, and I was impressed with how affordable the boots are for a classic investment piece with great quality.’

‘Living in Dubai, we don’t get cold falls like other cities - so we are able to summer’ise’ our fall wear. This is a look I tend to wear quite a bit when the weather gets chilly in Dubai. An oversized sweater, shorts (love leather shorts) paired with some thigh high boots. This would also look great with dresses and skinny jeans.’

‘There are currently several models of over the knee boots I am eyeing for the next season. Many of them are pretty seasonal, that is why I decided to go for a classic model of Stuart Weitzman Highland boots. Since they come in several different colours, materials and heel heights, I opted for the high heel model in a light grey suede as this will allow me to wear them with many different outfits. My wardrobe is already full of black boots as you can imagine.’

‘I love Stuart Weitzman boots in general as they are classic, versatile and durable. I already have a pair of Lowlands in my collection, and they are so great for travelling, they are comfortable and have lasted me since forever.’

‘Since its the end of summer, and a slow beginning of autumn, I styled them with a shirt dress, but these boots can be worn with jeans, skirts, knit dresses and pretty much anything. That is what I love about them the most.’
