Talk us through the FARFETCH product you are wearing and what you like about this brand?
“I wear THE ATTICO, an Italian brand founded by two street style icons celebrating fashion. For me, personally, it's a modern interpretation of the style of the roaring 20's, when Berlin used to be a hotspot for fashion, art and music."
Please describe Berlin’s city style. How does the city influence your own style?
“Although there is no judgement and you can wear what you want, you can always recognize visitors by a much more elegant style. Because usually Berliners don't wear high heels, but sneakers and although the style can be sexy, it should also be comfortable. Also, Berlin has a heart for newcomers and street style brands and they don't care too much about traditional brands.”
What’s unique about living in Berlin. Can you tell us more about this iconic place?
"Maybe, Berlin is not the most beautiful city in the conservative meaning. But what most people (including me) love about the city are the vibes, the tolerance, the freedom. You can truly express yourself. Berlin has so much to offer: inspiring art, the best clubs and amazing food spots. I took the pictures at one of Berlin's favorite sights: the wall, that used to separate Berlin in East and West and was teared down in 1989 - the year I was born.”
Where do you shop in Berlin for sustainable fashion?
“In my opinion the most sustainable fashion is pre-owned fashion and we have MANY vintage shops in Berlin. Some of my favorites are Archive, Vintage Revivals, Garments Vintage and Das Neue Schwarz.”
What would you like to see at the next Berlin Fashion Week?
“More Opulence, more Sustainability and more craftsmanship. After a long time in jogging pants I can't wait to wear fancy clothes again - but I want to wear them with a good conscience.”
Please tell us about one streetwear-piece every Berliner should have in their closet and why?
“Cool sneaker from a limited designer edition. Because Berlin is obsessed with sneakers and for sneaker lovers Berlin is true heaven. Plus, it's always a good start for a conversation.”
