From the hardware detailing to the denim, Off-White's fall collection evokes the essence of LA style. Here, art director and LA resident Khalil Ghani models the key pieces and tells FARFETCH what makes his city so special.
‘LA style is interesting. We have so many subcultures. You can look at a mom from the Palisades, or someone in a lowrider in South Central. My personal style is ‘Palisades mom goes to the hood’ like, a big white tee with capris and sandals.’
‘What makes LA iconic is the space we’re in. We have Hollywood, we have music. It’s a hub of creativity. If the icons aren’t born here, they come here to be made.’
‘I have two. ‘Boyz n the Hood’: it’s near where I grew up and really captures that feeling. The whole world is on that block, so many ecosystems. Then there’s ‘Training Day’ — how do I pick between them?’
‘The city inspires my personal look by having so much perspective. It really is a melting pot. That’s the beauty of LA — there’s unlimited potential.’
