Just landed on Farfetch: the Staud bucket bag. We’ve fallen hard for these perfectly-sized pieces of arm candy, created by the cult LA brand. And since there’s a shade to suit every mood, we’ll be needing one in every colour please…

Today, we know the bucket bag as a premier fashion week accessory, but back in the early 1900s – when it was referred to as the reticule – its original function was to carry bottles of champagne. Then in 1932, Louis Vuitton created his Noé bag, and a style staple was born.  

 

Founded by Sarah Staudinger in 2015, Staud makes its bucket bags and totes with the contemporary woman in mind, focusing on juxtaposing innovation with functionality. This one is simple but striking, and roomier than you’d expect  - an extra plus as it’s been a while since we owned a bag we could actually fit anything into!
