Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel spent an immense amount of time collaborating with expert costume jewellers because she firmly believed that ‘accessories are what makes or marks a woman.’ Many decades later and these clip-on earrings still echo that philosophy with their dramatic tiered silhouette. They’re made by the label’s ‘satellite’ ateliers – more than two dozen businesses that specialise in various métiers d’art – and formed of logo-engraved cross cases that are hollowed out for lightness.
