#TheOne Shoe: Top six designer shoes chosen by fashion influencers

Share

Are you a self-confessed shoe addict with several, or even several hundred, pairs of shoes in your closet or do you consider yourself more of a shoe connoisseur? For many, whether they have a big collection or a more modest sum of shoes, there’s usually #TheOne shoe in your closet that you have coveted, desired and loved the most.

Whether it’s an archetypal strappy platform heel for your stylish daily commute or a chic sneaker to pair with a tailored suit for relaxed formalwear, #TheOne shoe is unique and personal to you. #TheOne can take you from one of life’s every day fleeting moments to a special occasion in an instant. To find out what #TheOne shoe is around the world, we took a walk with some of the fashion’s most stylish bloggers to find out what #TheOne shoe is for each of them.

Style MBA:

#TheOne pair of shoes I can rely on for any occasion is my Stella McCartney platform oxfords from Farfetch. Not only are they devastatingly stylish and comfortable, they’re incredibly versatile.

Whether a lunch date with friends for Tex-Mex (yes I have a taco and chips and guac obsession) or speaking at a University on how to build your brand, this rocking pair of McCartney's is #TheOne statement piece that is always a topic of conversation.

Metro Man:

Gucci is currently trending, especially their accessories like their bags and sneakers. I love these ace embroidered sneakers from Gucci because they're kind of subtle, but at the same time make the perfect statement. I've had my eyes on these guys since I first saw them back in December.

I would wear these bad boys any day and every day. They're super versatile; you can dress up these sneakers with a cotton Khaki suit or simply pair them with denim and a plain tee.

Gucci loafers are my go-to for sunny days in the city. Whether it's running errands, creating content or shopping the Northern Quarter. They're simply #TheOne!

The fact these beauties have Donald Duck on them is simply a bonus. It adds a cute touch to the shoes and makes them the focus of the outfit. I was drawn to these loafers because of the colour too. They are unusual and help make casual that little bit more playful and vibrant. In an often grey skied Manchester, we need every bit of brightness we can get, and with this outfit, I chose to get that from #TheOne loafers for me.

Jordan Bunker:

Travelling down to London every week for work, I always like to take some time to walk around. Finding new coffee spots and walking through streets I haven’t been down helps me learn a little bit more about the city before my next meeting. To do this, I like having #TheOne shoe that keeps me moving and finding a pair of trainers that provides both comfort and flexibility for casual meet-ups and work.

Adidas and Raf Simons have created a trainer that provides this modicum. I like the collection found on Farfetch, it’s perfectly curated to my style sensibilities and I was especially drawn to these trainers as #TheOne shoe for me. I’m quite a normcore dresser and lean towards quality and the finer details that a trainer like the collaboration provides. Subtle goes a long way.

K is for Kani:

Adventuring to new places and exploring beautiful landscapes and destinations is one of my favorite things to do and being able to capture my discoveries and share them with my blog readers enriches the experience even more.

When travelling, the one shoe I always pack is a pair of low-heeled sandals. Shoes like these are perfect for being on your feet all day as they’re comfortable enough to take you running through flower fields (and flower fields are my favorite place to visit!) but still keeps you looking ridiculously stylish and put together.

This stunning ankle strap sandal by Diane Von Furstenberg is the ultimate adventure companion. The low heel is comfortable whilst giving you a little extra height and the soft, romantic blush shade gives any outfit a feminine touch. The cork heel keeps things contemporary yet timeless. Diane Von Furstenberg always seems to know what we want - you’ll always be reaching for these, that’s for sure!

Bloggers Boyfriend:

As a person working in the fashion industry, it is important to good look and stylish at clients meetings and events. It is a great way to start a conversation with statement shoes such as the brand of the year - Gucci

The summery palm and floral print iconic Gucci Horsebit loafers are perfect to go with anything when comes to "dressing up": from editorial wide leg trousers at a photo shoot, or styling a street style with sporty jogger pants to a formal suit at events, these Gucci Printed Horsebit loafer will cover it all. It even weirdly goes with fall/winter elements such as turtlenecks, leathers and rich colors like burgundy and dark green.

I have been a minimal person until the new Gucci, I talked so much about fashion and the industry's changes when meeting with clients or at events when people asking me about my new shoes. I also made lots of new friends simple because we love the same styles of shoes! I can’t wait to style them with some other different clothes in the coming week.

I can’t imagine a better option than these leather and linen Gucci loafers from Farfetch when comes to shoes.
