Trinity centrepiece
The young Australian designer Adam Cornish loves playing with structures. For the "Trinity" centrepiece for Alessi, he broke down the shape of a bowl to its "skeleton" - and then mirrored it. The spiral shape of the Nautilus mollusc sea shell was what first gave him the idea for his creation. The result is an object that can be used, for example, as a fruit bowl - but which is equally suitable as a centrepiece.
The outstanding structure of the "Trinity" centrepiece from Alessi presents a fascinating shadow effect when placed in the light. This interplay with light and shadow is emphasised by the highly polished stainless steel of the "Trinity" centrepiece.
