Manish Arora for Women

Indian designer Manish Arora is known for his unconventional designs that juxtapose kitsch and cartoon motifs with the traditional Indian love of decoration and colour. Brilliant colours are clashed using appliqué, embroidery and embellishment, while his silhouettes are often restrained to keep the pieces wearable. Arora opened his first store in New Delhi way back in 1997 but came to the world’s attention when he showed at London Fashion Week in 2005. An invitation to show in Paris followed soon after, the rest is history.
