Waterproof jackets define September. It’s still too warm to even consider pulling out the puffer jacket, but it’s also too cool (and often too wet) to be walking around in just a tee. Simply put, the summer-to-autumn period is inescapably humid, sticky and muggy, but it’s also the perfect excuse to shop the brand-new AMI Paris x K-Way collaboration.
The two French brands have united to create a set of six rain jackets, with two featuring a candy stripe pattern (how very 2018). Each of the outerwear pieces is enriched with a typically colourful palette of apple red and royal blue, and features a dual logo patch — a subtle revision of the classic K-Way aesthetic. A perfect transitional layer that’s fresh to death and extremely practical (transforming into an up-to-the-minute belt bag when packed away); the collaboration has been described by Alexandre Mattiussi — founder of AMI — as ‘casual, elegant and wearable’. Mother Nature, do your thing (we’re ready).
