Air Max 90 "Doernbecher" sneakers

Nike's relationship with Doernbecher Children's Hospital is historied and well-documented, dating back nearly two decades. Collaborating on a yearly basis as part of a charitable initiative, they present the dream shoes of six children undergoing treatment at the clinic, which are then auctioned off in a fundraiser. These Air Max 90 sneakers are part of the 18th collection and were designed by 15-year-old Emerson Harrell, combining the iconic cushioned running silhouette with themes close to the creator's heart. The sides of the shoe read "Bear Down", a nod to his beloved Arizona Wildcats and 'a rallying cry for all of life’s challenges', with further details including a sockliner with his initials and hometown coordinates, a custom logo at the tongue and a toebox mimicking the texture of a dollar bill, representing the teenager's goal to become an investment banker.
