The 991 was released 20 years ago, but stills a favourite for many sneaker lovers. This time, New Balance teamed up with Slam Jam for a new version of the sneaker - in black and grey - covering the upper, which features rubberised caps on the toe and heel counter, plush pigskin suede overlays and ripstop in place of the usual mesh. Reflective accents on the piping and N branding complete it with a nod to the shoe’s technical roots.
