…will have sneakerheads frothing. Yes, not one but two new creations from Yohji Yamamoto’s long-standing collaboration with Adidas, Y-3, are about to drop on Farfetch
WORDS BY RYAN THOMPSON
There isn’t a sneaker addict worth their salt who doesn’t own a pair of Y-3 kicks, such is their standing in the shoe design community. They are the brainchild of what has become the most successful and hyped streetwear/luxury marriage ever: Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto.
New in today is the Suberou, boasting a slick weather-proof, neoprene sock-fit upper and suede detailing on the toe. The signature all-black aesthetic (with contrast white branding) makes them perfect for a monochrome streetwear look, but if you prefer your palette less ninja, two more styles in red and blue are coming any day now. Just check back regularly to make sure you don’t miss out.
Following the Suberou is the Bashyo, which lands on Farfetch on 8th December. The slim mid-cut style combines stretched canvas, rubber and leather elements for a versatile Converse-esque look and is also available in black. Keep your eye on Farfetch to snap these up quickly for serious trainer props.
