Issey Miyake’s AW23 collection began with a black square on a white piece of paper, which was folded and pleated into shapes used to inspire pieces like this Square Scheme dress. A showcase of the label’s avant-garde eye, it’s crafted in crisp recycled polyester to hold its voluminous, asymmetric shape and spliced with a ribbed panel at the hips to enhance the dimensional skirt.
