#TheOne Shirt: Six Shirts, Six Ways with Six Style Influencers

#TheOne can manifest itself in a number of ways. From #TheOne thing you covet for life’s captivating special occasions to #TheOne you need in your wardrobe for those every day stylish moments.

To celebrate the #TheOne, we caught up with some fashion and lifestyle bloggers from around the world to find out what #TheOne shirt or top is for them.

Oh Antonio:

For me, #TheOne shirt is this "Camp Collar" shirt by Valentino. I love the throwback 1950s charm of these vintage style camp collars. Whether it's a Hawaiian print or a simple solid color shirt like I'm wearing below, there's a laidback feel to these open collar shirts that puts me right into vacation mode.

I'd wear this type of shirt pretty much all spring and summer long for any occasion. A bold printed version of this shirt would be great for the beach or a BBQ setting, while a solid version could look more dressed up when tucked into a pair of trousers for a rooftop cocktail in NYC.

The Fashion Fuse:

#TheOne Luxury top I can't live without this spring and summer season is a light tassel shawl or poncho top.  Since I will be traveling to the North American Southwest, I will need something extremely versatile that is true to the season, but that will keep me warm on a cold dessert night.

Often times we under estimate how chilly it can get while on holiday.  The southwest deserts have some of the most extreme temperatures.  I need to be prepared to for the hot days, sometimes freezing mornings\evenings and late afternoon showers.

I chose my tassel poncho top as #TheOne piece because it's an extremely versatile statement piece. I can wear it on a hike, at the pool over my swimsuit, horseback riding and at dinner.  Sure, I could bring a denim jacket, but won't everyone else be doing that?! I love how #TheOne piece I chose sets me apart from the rest. The natural elements and design of this tassel top captures the spirit and culture of the Southwest so beautifully.

The Tailored Man:

The Oxford Shirt to me is a wardrobe essential. It can be dressed up or down and in men’s fashion, you have to be able to be versatile. An Oxford Shirt is perfect for a date night or even a more casual suiting look. You can wear it by itself or layer it under a sweater or even add blazer on top for a more business casual look. If you refer to how I’ve styled it above, it shows how seamless it can be to get 2-3 different looks out of one outfit. A great look for both the summer/winter seasons, the oxford shirt for me is a wardrobe essential and a must have for any man.

When it comes to picking an Oxford Shirt to suit all occasions, you do have to make sure the garment quality is top notch. Our top pick is this Thom Browne Oxford Shirt, why…? Thom Browne are known throughout the industry for having the perfect balance between quality and being on trend.

Inspiring Wit:

One sure thing in my wardrobe is a striped button down shirt. I love the luxury of soft cotton and just the right amount of drape that can take me to another of my loves, a coffee date. Seeking out coffee spots with beautiful, modern decor and excellent coffee, a striped shirt is the perfect fit for effortless cool. #TheOne I am coveting at the moment is a stunning, sleek J.W. Anderson pinstripe shirt. I love that his collections all have a clever twist. While utterly wearable, they have a cutting-edge, slightly unexpected element such as pleating, layering or a ruffle detail. I have had my eye on a number of J.W. Anderson pieces (his Pierce handbags are to-die-for) and would love to add a sophisticated shirt to my collection!

When choosing a cotton shirt I like to look for beautiful details and a contemporary take on a classic garment. This is perfect for the woman of today who wants to feel effortlessly put together, but chic and fashion-forward, so she is confident and ready to get on with her day. J.W. Anderson's shirting is cool, a bit conceptual and a bit street while balancing an interesting line between masculine and feminine.

The Male Stylist:

I love Ralph Lauren shirts and this one is a particular favourite of mine. Denim is an incredibly versatile fabric and makes this denim shirt perfect for travelling in, so I took it with me to Leuven in Belgium. It's comfortable but resilient to wear-and-tear.

The fit is also great as it creates a clean silhouette that looks both smart and casual without having to put in loads of effort. The denim shirt is a classically masculine look and one that is made all the more stylish by this Ralph Lauren piece.

Melissa’s Wardrobe:

This off the shoulder white shirt is my go to piece as it allows me to give any classic outfit character. It maintains the notion of sleekness that is associated with your traditional white shirt but the exposed skin adds a creative and more interesting flare.

It’s quite versatile and can be styled with a pencil skirt like shown; jeans or it can even be worn with jogging bottoms to keep well within the sport luxe trend.
