Bambah’s Indian Summer

The label champions feminine opulence inspired by Jaipur for SS18

Words by Holly Swayne

Cascading ruffles, oversized bows and decadent florals, Bambah’s decidedly feminine pieces are winning over the style set worldwide. The label started life as a small vintage store in Dubai, but founder Maha Abdul Rasheed soon branched out with her own fifties-inspired designs, to instant acclaim. Now worn by the likes of Amal Clooney, Maisie Williams, Dita Von Teese and Emma Roberts, Bambah’s latest styles pay homage to the vibrant colours and textures of India.

An Ode to Jaipur

The SS18 collection was inspired by a trip to India’s ‘Pink City’: the colour-washed buildings, the sensory overload of the markets and the calming beauty of the rose gardens are reimagined with vivid floral dresses and intricate textured separates.

A Fresh Silhouette

Bambah’s bold signature shapes are reminiscent of the fifties silhouette, with modern twists that resonate with today’s woman. Expect full structured skirts and defined waists paired with daring voluminous sleeves and off-the-shoulder cuts.
