Copenhagen, Los Angeles and Mexico City. Three very different cities with a unique approach to summer. Here, three of the cities’ residents share what they’re wearing to see them through the coming months.
‘I live in Los Angeles, so every time I want to get away I love going to Palm Springs. It’s such a great place to relax by the pool, eat, meet friends and shop for vintage furniture. That’s also how I feel about Venice Beach, where these photos were taken. It’s still a dream for me to live here and I love being able to drive to Venice whenever I feel like it. When it comes to summer style, I usually go for a comfortable wardrobe. Nothing too fitted or too heavy. I love linen and cotton, summer dresses and sandals. This summer, I plan on wearing a lot of cycling shorts and oversized tees. Oh, and a lot of sunglasses, of course.’ In shot: Jen wears T-shirt by Balenciaga, jeans by Eckhaus Latta and sandals by Miista.
‘My look is best described as a millennial aristocrat who has a problem with “the man”. I love these Ganni sandals, especially the mash-up between a classic slider and a hiking boot. I think they’re best-suited to work meetings during the summer. Apart from Ganni, I think Simon Miller and Prada are doing shoes particularly well this season.’ In shot: Lotta wears T-shirt by Stella McCartney, shorts by Georgia Alice and headband by Jennifer Behr.
‘I'm a workaholic, so I'm spending all summer in my studio working on some paintings and sculptures for my first solo show in Mexico City. I spend most of the year here working, so whenever there's a chance to get away, I don't really care where it is – I'm just glad I get to change my routine. If that place happens to be the beach, then I'm more than happy to be there swimming, reading and sunbathing, laying on the sand. Other than the beach, I love to go to Xochimilco, where these photos were shot. Even though it's in the city, it’s very green and quiet. This time I went to the canals where you rent a boat called a "trajinera" in Spanish and just float down the canal with your friends.’ In shot: Andrea wears dress by Staud, sunglasses by Gucci, bag by Cult Gaia and sandals by Marques'Almeida.
