Front camera on. Elevated angle. Good lighting. On National Selfie Day, three selfie experts showcase the season’s best eyewear, and share the things they’ve learned to love the most about their faces.
‘I’m in law school, I model, I direct short films, and I’m an activist. I work for organisations including WarChild UK. So my favourite feature about myself is my brain – I’m very lucky to have it. But I also love my cheekbones. I was told recently that over time my cheekbones may start to sag. So, I’m taking every smile in.’
‘I’m obsessed with beauty, in particular skincare. I’m constantly listening, reading and learning about people's regimes. When it comes to my own face, I like how expressive and unexpressive it is. The juxtaposition of what I'm saying and what my face is saying can be quite funny. My favourite feature? My eyes – a bit like a deer in headlights.’
‘I love my birthmarks, and my wide cheekbones. As a digital artist, I like to create art through photos and videos, which usually involves putting on make-up and modelling it on myself. I love to mix styles; sometimes I like to dress very sweet, but my tattoos always add a punk-rock vibe.’
