ONE FOR ALL / The T-shirt, three ways

Sure, it’s an essential – but there’s no reason for the T-shirt to be boring. Here, three men share how they’re wearing them as the weather warms up, and vacations seem a little less far away.

Andrew Makadsi, creative director

‘What I choose to wear really depends; some days I like to dress all-black and minimalist, other days I wear a lot of colour. But lately I’m really into shorts above the knee. It’s funny, because a couple of years ago I never wore shorts, even when it’s burning-hot weather. That changed last summer when I started wearing shorts on a daily basis, pretty much.’ In shot: Andrew wears shirt by Raf Simons.

Evan Mock, content creator

‘The things I enjoy are: skateboarding, surfing, taking photos of friends, adventures and creating art through those hobbies. I feel like my style and obsessions of certain clothing styles and accessories change quite often. But as of now, my style is a hint of flashy with a pinch of check-me-out.’ In shot: Evan wears T-shirt by Local Authority.

Paolo Soffiatti, hair stylist

‘I dress in a very simple way. I usually mix classic masculine pieces – often from my grandfather – with some beautiful pieces that I buy. I’m never overdressed or too flashy, and when it comes to summer style I’m very, very easy: T-shirts, white shirts, linen pants and Birkenstocks. As for my vacation essential? A portable projector. I love to sit in the garden with my friends in the evening and project a movie on the wall, like a private outside cinema. I always carry it with me when I go on holiday.’ In shot: Paolo wears T-shirt by Missoni.
