In the hands of John Galliano, Maison Margiela skews towards the surrealist. The result is always one of the most interesting collections of the season. See how three men from three different walks of life are wearing the new collection, here.
‘I’m the fashion director of Esquire Spain, so at work I dress pretty classic: it’s always a mix of smart and casual. I’m drawn to masculine pieces that have a subtle, trend-led twist and I couldn’t live without my sunglasses. I love the style we have here in Madrid, it’s so easy-going. I’m based in Barrio de las Salesas at the minute, it has such a great energy about it.’ In shot: Álvaro wears blazer and shirt by Maison Margiela.
‘I’m originally from Edmonton in north London and moved to Brooklyn for my music career. I’ve lived in West Hollywood for about six months now. LA style is somewhere between workwear and activewear. When it comes to my own personal style, I like to mix pieces that are smarter with those that have a streetwear aesthetic.’ In shot: Pauli wears T-shirt by Maison Margiela.
‘I’ve lived between New York and a few different cities in Italy for just over 10 years now. Right now, I’m based in Centro Storico in Rome. I’m obsessed with skateboarding – like, skating to the point of not being steady on my feet anymore. I’ve also just started to design and create underwear which I’m really into, it’s going to be my next venture.’ In shot: Luca wears cardigan by Maison Margiela.
