It comes as little surprise that Andrew Jennings, the founder of watch label Larsson & Jennings, has a deep-rooted love for timepieces. But when did his obsession with timepieces begin? ‘I inherited a vintage Rolex Daytona from my uncle when I was 10, and it formed in me a fascination for design and mechanical beauty,’ he says. ‘I almost sold the watch to fund the first days of Larsson & Jennings – but luckily I managed to avoid that. Although I did have to sell my car.’ Inspired by his father running his own business, he launched his own watch brand in 2012, and it has quickly become a favourite of men looking for minimalist, pared-back designs. Here, he edits the timepieces he’s eyeing now. Photography by Gavriel Maynard. Styling by Luke Raymond.
‘I’m a huge fan of Rolex as possibly the world's best-known brand. Some watch-lovers would never customise a piece like this, but if you’ve got the cash and want something unique, then why the hell not?’
‘One of our newest collections, the Rally is intended to bring complication to an otherwise classic and minimalist brand. And when you are shooting with a blacked-out Rolex and a Gucci watch, I guess a yellow-gold watch is the choice to stand out.’
‘This watch was a rogue choice for me – my dress sense is usually understated, but this watch will definitely jazz up any outfit.’
