Go inside the homes of Gucci’s international tastemakers.
Just John describes his music as punk-infused hip-hop. However, despite his high-energy sound, the Toronto rapper relishes chilling at home, meditating and taking time out just for himself. Shop the shoot below.
‘Toronto inspires my music. I sharpened my teeth here and I take it everywhere I go. My space is a place where I feel safe. It’s somewhere I could jump in with any burst of creativity and create something.’
‘I feel like my home is a combination of mantras that I live by. When I’m here, I give myself some time just for me. You know, I really just leave room for my mind to just wander off.’
'My neighbourhood kind of reminds me of like Brooklyn. It's a mix of artists and families. Everyone's on the grind. Everyone's hustling, and working really hard. You can really feel this energy and character.’ Photography by Juliette Cassidy. Styling by Tati Cotliar.
The furniture designer and dealer Jermaine Oscar Gallacher has made waves on the global design scene for his offbeat, eccentric taste – but his central London home tells a quieter story. Swipe left to see inside.
‘I imagine my interior is quite a lot different from any of the other interiors that are in this block. I do my own thing. I don’t follow trends, but funnily enough I’m becoming quite fashionable without realising it. I don’t buy things because I want to elevate myself – I just want things to look good.’
‘My home and studio have a mix of old and new things. I like anybody who’s doing anything really well – or something I haven’t seen before. I wouldn’t sell anything I couldn’t live with, but I don’t find it hard to part with stuff. People always say, “You should keep that” and I’m like, “No way, that’s going – sold!”’
‘Borough, where I live, is a good mix of artists and normal people. I think people assume I live in a glass triangle with pink furniture or something. But it’s quite simple and pared-back, really. Home should be a place where you can relax.’ Photography by Hill & Aubrey. Styling by Tati Cotliar.
DJing and modelling duo Taiki and Noah, AKA neufneuf, wear new-season Gucci and talk about the home they’ve made together. Swipe left to see inside.
‘The town I’m from, Hokkaido, is rich in nature. My grandfather managed a flower farm there. That's why we have so many flowers in our home’ – Taiki.
‘Our favourite spot in the area is the Meguro River. We love the cherry blossoms. We always go see them when they are in full bloom during spring’ – Taiki and Noah.
‘Before I met Taiki I lived alone. Now that I’m with him, I’m happy that there's someone waiting for me when I come home’ – Noah. Photography by Hill and Aubrey. Styling by Tati Cotliar.
As the art director and owner of furniture brand Gufram, Charley Vezza is an expert on eye-catching interior design. But, when it comes to his own space in the heart of Milan, he treads carefully: ‘I just try to keep the balance. It is like salt: you only need a small dose, or else everything tastes too salty’. Here, Charley wears new-season Gucci, and opens the doors to his small but perfectly-formed apartment in the city centre. Photography by Hill and Aubrey. Styling by Tati Cotliar.
The interior design in my house reflects me; it is very confused. I try to mix and match different things that I like and hope they work well together: some contemporary furniture, a sofa from the Seventies, modern and antique lighting, a Japanese bird cage.’
