Think you know Paris? The reality is a little different – or so three of its residents tell us. Here, we get an insight into their experience of Paris and how the city informs their style. See their SS19 accessories edits, below. Photography by Valentin Fabre.
‘Parisian style is fancy but with a little je ne sais quoi. My style is probably more provincial. The best thing about the city is the Seine banks and my home. And the worst? The electric scooters and how expensive it is. I have lived here since I was born and now have a gallery here. It opened fairly recently – it’s definitely a new challenge.’ In shot: Thomas wears bag by Heron Preston.
‘I have always been in and around Paris. The best thing about it is that we have so much creativity, especially in the younger generation; people that are very talented at what they do. The biggest misconception is that Paris is just beautiful buildings – we have a mix of culture and people all over the city, which makes it even more beautiful than what you see in the movies.’ In shot: Jean wears wallet by Jacquemus.
‘There are incredibly nice people in Paris, people know how to be friendly and warm! It has almost been three years since I moved from a peaceful town in the suburbs, and I have found that the beautiful neighbourhoods are often overlooked. In this photo, I am in the district of Strasbourg – Saint-Denis; it is very cosmopolitan and has multiple nationalities in one place.’ In shot: Dylan wears scarf by Burberry.
