An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx set up their first company Blixa and showed their first collection as A.F.Vandevorst in 1997 after first meeting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. A.Friend by A.F.Vandevorst is their diffusion line, offering the same energy of the ready to wear collection, but at a more affordable price. The collection includes womens’ ready to wear including shoes and accessories developed and produced in Europe using Belgian manufacturers, whilst leather goods including shoes and bags are constructed in Italy.
