We said, ’The change starts with us.’ We remain dedicated to this.
Here are the things we've committed to so far in order to create meaningful change at Farfetch.
We as a company have an active role to play in eradicating systemic racism, starting within. We need to go further than just speaking out, as important as speaking out is.
We have spent the last week continuing open conversations with our Black Employee Network and across our business, focusing on specific actions we need to take now to create meaningful change in our workplace. We started our diversity and inclusion journey some time ago, but it is clear we need to implement specific programs which tangibly support and champion our Black colleagues. We have work to do. It will take time, but we are dedicated to action and results.
The below outlines some of the key actions that we are taking. All of our actions have specific objectives and timelines to allow us to measure our progress, evaluate if these plans are working, listen to feedback and then continue to evolve in a positive direction. We will keep you updated on our progress and we encourage you to check back in with us over the coming months to hold us accountable and see how we are doing.
We will continue to listen to our Black colleagues and are providing additional support services, ensuring that their needs are heard and met.
We will introduce unconscious bias training in every office, for every Farfetch employee globally.
We are strengthening our talent development programs to ensure Black representation at senior levels across the business.
We will enhance our outreach programs to form a pipeline of talent from Black and other under-represented groups into our organization and the fashion industry.
We will improve representation of and empower Black businesses, designers, labels, collaborators and creatives across our platform.
We will continuously measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable for these changes.
