ONE FOR ALL / Colour, three ways

Bad news for goths: big, bold colour was one of the key messages of the spring collections. The good news: it’s more wearable than you might think. Here, three women, from three global locations, share how they’ll be wearing the strongest shades of the season.

Alice Vink, graphic designer

‘I like oversized things best – I like to look boyish, but sometimes sexy. The style here in Rotterdam is pretty casual and down-to-earth.’ In shot: Alice wears dress by Rotate.

Anna Cornelia Sarlvit-Danielsen, creative

‘For spring in Copenhagen, I’d like a leather coat in a bold colour – though I could never live without my dad’s old, gigantic, black blazer, which I wear with almost everything. I’m never without a dash of colour to lighten up an outfit. At the moment I’m obsessed with tie-dye.’ In shot: Anna wears sweater by Balenciaga.

Gabrielle Richardson, artist and curator

‘I am obsessed with the colour green. I feel like spring is right around corner [here in Brooklyn, New York City] and I am manifesting it – the colour before anything has actually bloomed. I love sneakers and anything comfortable, but I also love bold prints, colors and texture.’ In shot: Gabrielle wears jacket and skirt, both by Heron Preston.
