Missoni is hailed for its colorful knitwear, founded in 1953 when Ottavio and Rosita Missoni set up their workshop in Gallarate, Italy. Using different-hued yarns on archival Raschel machines, the brand created a type of multicoloured knit fabric that had never been seen before.
