Plínio and Ana Leal founded André Opticas as an homage to their love of eyewear. Located on Lisbon’s fashionable Avenida da Liberdade, André Opticas showcases an extensive range of upcoming and leading luxury labels, as well as designer collaborations and vintage styles. This sunglasses and spectacles mecca also boasts its own in-house optical atelier where made to measure frames are handcrafted in luxurious buffalo horn.

The oblique name has a simple explanation: it stands for Another Shop and 46 is the telephone country code for Sweden. The boutique’s founders, Wouter Leenders and Kelly Erentreich, visited Stockholm and were inspired by the city’s conceptual atmosphere. Their store offers a host of small labels that you won’t find anywhere else.

In 1987 Claudio Antonioli opened his first boutique in Milan that soon became the go-to store for in the know clientele. In 2003 the store moved to Via P. Paoli 1, which formally housed one of Milan’s first silent theatres. In 2009, Antonioli expanded the boutique, styled and redesigned by Vincenzo De Cotiis who gave new life to an old mechanic’s shop, creating a unique space using innovative, glistening materials. The boutique now boasts over 400 square meters of carefully researched garments and accessories. The selection and the interior design are a reflection of Claudio Antonioli’s personal philosophy; to blend contemporary taste with alternative choices in a practical, wearable way.
