Description

Brown wool blend dress from Yohji Yamamoto featuring a front button fastening, large classic collar, a contrasting light brown bleach stain detail at the shoulders and sleeves, long sleeves with button fastening pointed cuffs, a contrasting blue floral lace panel at the left sleeve and a knee length A-line skirt. Please note that vintage items are not new but often between 1985 and the end of 90´s, and therefore will always have minor imperfections, even when the items have been used and worn with love and care.

    One of the greats of Japanese fashion design, Yohji Yamamoto presented his first eponymous collection in Tokyo in 1977 before debuting at the Paris ready-to-wear shows in 1981. A menswear collection followed in 1984. The Yohji Yamamoto look is avant-garde and somehow removed from seasonal trends. He often employs oversized garments within his designs, with black usually the staple shade. Yohji’s understanding of fabric and how it drapes on the body give his collections a unique quality.
