SHIPPING FROM: A.N.G.E.L.O Vintage, Lugo di Ravenna

    A.N.G.E.L.O Vintage
A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage’s owners have been collecting vintage pieces and one-offs since the store’s humble beginnings as a second-hand market, some of which are now used in films, theatre and television across Italy. The philosophy behind this now grand, three-storey Lugo-based boutique is imbued with sentimentality, with a belief that the value of the pieces lies far deeper than in their appearance. The store near Bologna has become a mecca for fashion designers seeking to take inspiration from its comprehensive archive collection.

    Designer: UNGARO VINTAGE

Emanuel Ungaro is a french fashion designer born to an Italian tailor. At the age of 22, he moved to Paris, and three years later he began designing for the House of Cristobal Balenciaga for three years before quitting to work for Courrèges. Four years later, in 1965 with the assistance of Swiss artist Sonja Knapp and Elena Bruna Fassio, Emanuel Ungaro opened his own fashion house in Paris. His Italian upbringing and love of the country side led to his use of a wide range of colours, and he used a great variety of fabrics, prints and textures with an impeccable cutting technique.
