Grethen House is an upscale women’s boutique specializing in unique clothing and accessories by cutting-edge designers. Grethen House was established in Clear Lake, Iowa in 1953 by Greta and Henry Thomas—the name Grethen is a combination of their first names. Daughter Mary took over the store in 1989, and currently works with her son, Tadd, and his wife, Maggie.
