French fashion house Sonia Rykiel is now headed-up by Sonia Rykiels’ daughter, Nathalie Rykiel who began her fashion career by her mother’s side. She developed a ready-to-wear collection in 1989 called Inscription Rykiel which was later renamed Sonia by Sonia Rykiel. This line was created to show a quirky alternative edge to the Rykiel aesthetic and continues to do so with vibrant tones and playful shapes.
