    Our story begins with Janet Brown, who had 24 years of success as the owner of the iconic store in Port Washington, New York. An accident stole Janet from her family, friends and clients far sooner than anyone could have imagined. One of Janet's devoted customers, Julieann Stark, was especially distraught to lose her long-time stylist and friend. Building on her successful years in knitwear and swimsuit design, Julieann saw an opportunity to continue to collaborate with Janet's creative staff. Julieann opened her own luxurious space with Brown's entire staff. To keep the selections fresh and modern while retaining a classic appeal, we handpick emerging designers to add to our roster.

    Sacai is the label that those in the know love to own - the finest quality knits, reformed in unusual ways with contrasting fabrics. Having previously worked for Comme des Garçons, Japanese designer Abe Chitose created Sacai in 1999 to showcase her own skill and expertise.
