Navy linen and flax blend vintage cardigan from Romeo Gigli Vintage featuring a v-neck, a front button fastening, long loose sleeves, a sheer knitted finish and a scooped loose bottom hem. Please note that vintage items are not new but are often between 1985 and the end of 90´s, and therefore will always have minor imperfections, even when the items have been used and worn with love and care.

Vintage’s owners have been collecting vintage pieces and one-offs since the store’s humble beginnings as a second-hand market, some of which are now used in films, theatre and television across Italy. The philosophy behind this now grand, three-storey Lugo-based boutique is imbued with sentimentality, with a belief that the value of the pieces lies far deeper than in their appearance. The store near Bologna has become a mecca for fashion designers seeking to take inspiration from its comprehensive archive collection.

    Designer: Romeo Gigli Vintage

    Romeo Gigli was born in Italy and later settled in New York where he started designing his own clothes in the late 1970s. Developing new ways to reveal the female form with natural lines and destructured tailoring in stark contrast to the structured jackets and padded shoulders commonly found in the 1980s. Working mostly in stretch linen, silk and chiffon his dreamy clothes are most commonly referred to as ‘preraphaelite’.
