Rick Owens made a name for himself in LA where he first launched his own label. In 2003 he moved to Paris where he now designs collections often labelled as glamour-meets-grunge. For the most part, his clothes are edgy but functional with asymmetric shapes, structural lines and slouchy jersey/knitwear. Rick Owens’ mainline has now evolved to include Rick Owens Lilies jersey collection for women and the Rick Owens DRKSHDW denim label for men and women.

Grethen House was established in Clear Lake, Iowa in 1953 by Greta and Henry Thomas—the name Grethen is a combination of their first names. Daughter Mary took over the store in 1989, and currently works with her son, Tadd, and his wife, Maggie.
