Shoe and accessory designer Pierre Hardy has already forged quite an illustrious career. The French designer heads the shoe and accessory design team at Hermés and is also behind some of those fantastic footwear creations that emerge from the house of Balenciaga, where he consults with Nicolas Ghesquière. His own label is increasingly taking its place in the footwear hall of fame. Hardy, who originally studied fine art, uses his understanding of sculptural form and fuses it with a very French sense of chic to create shoes that are part fashion, part art.
