Graduating from Central Saint Martins college in London, Stella McCartney went onto design for French fashion house Chloé, where in 1997 after a mere two collections, she was appointed Creative Director. Her self-titled fashion house was launched in 2001 as a joint venture with the Gucci group. Vegetarian McCartney’s ready-to-wear collections, which famously avoid any use of leather or fur, now sit alongside accessories, eyewear, fragrance and an organic skincare range.
A real hidden gem of a boutique, located just outside London in the Surrey village of Esher, Bernard has been in the business of dressing stylish women for over 30 years with a philosophy born from individuality and detail. With a client list that reads like a who’s who of a fashion glossy, co-owner and buyer Helene Rappaport knows designer fashion inside and out. Rapaport curates a collection of colourful showpieces from some of fashion’s most illustrious names; Stella McCartney, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and Matthew Williamson are just some of the collections on offer, which sit in unison with new and unique names, keeping the collection fresh.
