Michael Kors began designing clothes at the age of 19 when he studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He launches his womenswear line in 1981 at some of New York’s most famous department stores. He has been creative director of the French fashion house Celine and has dressed many celebrities from Jennifer Loper, Michelle Obama and Heidi Klum and his creations have been featured on screen in a number of films.
