Azumi and David both studied fashion at Central Saint Martins but met in The Troubadour Coffee House, in London's Earl's Court 1995. They got married in Hackney Town Hall in 2000 and had their wedding reception in 2001 in Nagano, Japan. They celebrate birthdays on the 8th and 10th April, designating April 9th as A'N'D day. Since first coming together, the pair have progressed through a variety of creative projects - initially with limited edition artist's books and performance art, moving gradually on to fashion and accessory associated 'things to wear'.

Labour of Love
London , United Kingdom
A permanent web presence and a, serially, temporary retail concept makes for a thoroughly modern approach to fashion retail. Labour of Love has evolved over the past 10 years to become a place to find cherished wardrobe favourites that really work - 'that whisper rather than shout, and let you get on with your thing'. Originally just carrying womenswear but now stocking menswear and kid's clothes too, Labour of Love provides a unique shopping experience for people who wear their clothes, as opposed to those worn by their clothes.
