Guy Laroche was a French fashion designer and founder of the eponymous company. In his first collection he reintroduced vibrant colours such as pink, orange, coral, topaz and turquoise. It was a collection of subtle sophistication, reminiscent of Balenciaga's restrained elegance. Later collections were more feminine, fun, and younger in feel. Guy Laroche clothes were particularly noted for their skilful cutting and tailoring.
