Building on the achievements of previous instalments, this is blissful electro-jazz-rock interspersed with narrative bits explaining the Gong mythology.     Artist: GONG

    Gong is a Franco-British progressive/psychedelic rock band formed by Australian musician Daevid Allen. Their music has been described as space rock and revolves around a mythology that is similar to concepts from Buddhism, such as the denial of absolute reality and the search for enlightenment. In the narrative, the peaceful Planet Gong is populated by Radio Gnomes, Pothead Pixies and Octave Doctors. These, along with Zero the Hero, are the focus of three of Gong albums, of which ‘You’ is the last. On these albums, protagonist Zero the Hero, a space traveler from Earth, gets lost and finds the Planet Gong. He is sent back to Earth to spread the word about this mystical planet.
