    THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP
    Located in the eponymous premises that inspired Charles Dickens’ classic novel, The Old Curiosity Shop is home to the influential menswear label Blaak Homme and Daita Kimura shoes. The ramshackle shop has been given a 21st-century makeover that juxtaposes old ship beams with modern sculptural furniture.

    Designer: THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP

    The Old Curiosity Shop was built in 1567 and immortalised by Charles Dickens in his book, “The Old Curiosity Shop.” In 1992 Daita Kamura started his business in this historical premises turning it into a shoe shop selling handmade shoes within the shop. The interior of the shop has a fairy-tale like aura that is rich with history and the passage of time. Most visitors are mesmerised by the small winding staircases and treasure trove of interesting goods, including handmade fashion and footwear that are unique only to this shop.
