Founded in 1988, Maison Martin Margiela is known for creating unique and unconventional designs and is noted as an abstract artist. Margiela graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and prior to launching his own collection worked as Jean-Paul Gaultier's assistant. He is known for deconstructing materials and reconstructing them to produce truly innovative and distinctive pieces.
