Creative director Malene Birger launched her Copenhagen based brand in 2003, with a vision to create a luxurious experience reflected through clothes and accessories. The design-focused label has gone from strength the strength with Ms Birger picking up numerous awards for design and business. The first By Malene Birger boutique opened in Denmark in 2006 and numerous boutiques have since opened worldwide.

Grethen House is an upscale women’s boutique specializing in unique clothing and accessories by cutting-edge designers. The Grethen House customer is seeking alternatives to the impersonal service and ubiquitous merchandise of department stores, and appreciates the conscientious service and extra attention a small, family-owned boutique provides. Grethen House was established in Clear Lake, Iowa in 1953 by Greta and Henry Thomas—the name Grethen is a combination of their first names. Daughter Mary took over the store in 1989, and currently works with her son, Tadd, and his wife, Maggie.

Salitana shearling bootie in black from by Malene Birger. These leather wedge platform booties feature a hidden lace-up placket covered with a black elastic band, tan shearling trim, and rubber soles. Platform measures 1", heel measures 5".
