    Designer: BERNARDO

Founder Bernard Rudofsky was a noted architect and structural engineer, but what few people know is that this architect changed the fashion world. He was credited for the advent of the modern day sandal by Harper’s Bazaar magazine in 1967 After living in Italy for over 20 years, Dennis and Lynne Comeau returned to the US and are now designing for Bernardo. Prior to this, they designed shoes for Prada and Dolce & Gabanna. They focus their efforts on continuing to revitalize and energize the brand, working out of a design studio on their property outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
