    New Yorker Alexis Bittar is renowned for his modernist Lucite jewelry. After selling vintage clothes and accessories in the East Village, he launched his own collection in 1988 and his 1930s Bakerlite-inspired creations soon garnered a loyal fan base. Bittar has since gone on to collaborate with Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field and design Burberry's first ever couture jewelry collection.
