After selling vintage clothes and accessories in the East Village, he launched his own collection in 1988 and his 1930s Bakerlite-inspired creations soon garnered a loyal fan base. Bittar has since gone on to collaborate with Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field and design Burberry's first ever couture jewelry collection.
